Writing Publishing Checklist and Rubric

Here is the checklist of things for students to do for editing and revising before they can "publish" or type their stories.

REVISING

      Do you have at least 5 paragraphs with an introduction/status quo, the problem, try/fails, blocks or escalating events, climax, and a conclusion?

Are your events in order from beginning, middle, and end?

Do you have at least 5 sentences of dialogue?


Do you have 5 precise words from the sensory details posters?

      Make sure you DID NOT use SAID with dialogue!

Did you indent each paragraph?

      Do you have effective punctuation, capitals, commas, and quotation marks used correctly?

      Are all of your words spelled correctly?
