Here is an example paper:
My family has been in Utah for many years. My 4th great grandparents, Peder Dorothy Olsen were the first people in my family to come to Utah. Before they came to Utah, they lived in Denmark. They came to Utah because they wanted religious freedom. They traveled by boat to New York and then by handcart to Utah. They faced many challenges by coming to Utah. Their family rejected them because they left. Traveling by boat and handcart back then was also a big challenge.
My great grandfather, James Reuben Petersen, was one of the richest people in Utah. He had many businesses and made a lot of money. When the Great Depression happened in 1929, one of his business partners stole all his money and ran away. He was forced to sell most of what he had, and still had to work the rest of his life to pay back all of the money his partner stole from him. This was a big challenge for him but he was able to work hard and pay back all the money he owed.
I am very thankful that my family came to Utah. They faced many challenges so that I can live in America and in Utah. I have learned from them the importance of working hard. Even though you may have challenges in your life, if you work hard you can get through anything. I love learning about my family and everything they have been through!
