This week in writing we will be reading our PJ Day letters to Mr. Campbell. These are due Monday. Students need to make sure that they have typed their letter and shared it with me so that I can grade it. We will also start writing a persuasive letter to Santa this week. This one will not be graded though.
This week in math we will learning about equivalent fractions. We will learn ways to find equivalent fractions and identify if fractions are equivalent to each other. We will also learn how to find common denominators between fractions and do word problems with fractions. Also, on Friday will be our Multiplication Ice Cream party. If your student hasn't passed of all their facts through 12, please help them study so they can pass off as much as they can before Friday!
This week in social studies we will be taking our Counties Test. My class takes this on Monday and Mrs. Ditto's on Tuesday. Most students have studied very hard for this test and I'm very proud of them!
Lastly, here are a couple last things to remember. On Wednesday we will have our 4th grade PJ day. We read letters to Mr. Campbell and he decided to let us have the PJ day!!! Students are NOT to bring pillows and blankets. It is not a party, just a day that we can wear our PJs. Also, our Christmas Sing will be on Thursday at 9:30 and 1:00. Please have your students wear a red or white shirt. And please come and hear us sing! They can wear a Santa Hat if they wish. It will be so much fun! Finally, on Friday will be our school wide PJ day. Students will be allowed to bring pillows and blankets because we will be having a class party that day as well.
