This week in writing we are finishing our letters to Mr. Campbell. We will be reading them in class tomorrow, picking our class's best letter, and then we will read that letter to Mr. Campbell and the entire 4th grade. If he lets us, we will have our PJ day on Wednesday. To be considered for the person from our class who gets to read to Mr. Campbell, students MUST HAVE THEIR LETTER ON GOOGLE DOCS AND SHARED WITH ME BY TODAY!!!! If they didn't get it done in class today, they must finish it at home tonight.
This week in math we are going to be doing word problems with equivalent fractions. We are also going to be talking about how fractions compare to each other. We will learn how to tell which fraction is bigger and how to put fractions in order.
This week in social studies we will be taking our Counties Test. For my class, their test is tomorrow. For Miss Goldsborough's class, their test will be on Wednesday. We made posters telling how we can remember each county seat. I have posted pictures of them on my blog so students can use them to study.
Don't forget all of our fun things happening this week. We have our Christmas Sing this week on Thursday. You are invited to come listen to us sing at 9:30 or 1:00. I have posted a video of Holly Jolly Christmas with the English and Chinese words on my blog to help students learn the words. Also, don't forget that Friday will be our school pajama day since it is the last day before Christmas Break. It will be a common day so all students will start at 8:00 and end at 2:15. We will also be having our multiplication ice cream party that day for students who passed off each of their facts.
